II Corinthians 5:16 - Christ in the flesh came unto Israel as their own personal Savior (Acts 5:31 and Matthew 15:24). Christ in the flesh was Israel's Messiah King (John 1:47-49). We henceforth know Him not as Israel's Messiah and King , but as our own Glorified and Risen Lord. We know Him as the Head of our Body Church (Colossians 1:18).
Acts 4:1 and 2: Any time believers teach or preach anything supernatural you can count on instant criticism. As long as you teach just the love of God or helping your fellow man or aiding the poor or homeless you're fine. You delve into the supernatural and instantly the criticism will come. They taught the resurrection because Christ arose (Acts 2:22-24 and 32).
Psalm 42:1-3 - All of mankind has within them a deep and abiding hunger for God. We have within us a Spiritual hunger. This Spiritual side and Spiritual hunger separates us from the animals (Genesis 2:7).
John 6:29-36 - Christ alone can satisfy mans Spiritual hunger. Only Christ can meet our Spiritual needs.
This Spiritual hunger is even in the non-believer who has no idea how to feed it. He looks for Spiritual food everywhere except in the one single place it can be found (Acts 17:22-27).
Nothing other than Christ can satisfy our Spiritual hunger.
Ephesians 2:2-3: This verse reminds believers of their own not too distant past. You followed the way of the world. You obeyed the Devil. You were ruled by selfish desires of Your body. You made God angry. Any you were in line to be punished just like everyone else.
Lest we get caught up in the sin of self righteousness God’s Word reminds us we are just horrible sinners save by God’s Amazing Grace!
Don’t get too critical of the lost, not long ago you were lost yourself! If we forget our past we develop an us and them mentality with regard to the lost.
All of God is embodied in Christ Jesus. In Christ we have the complete physical expression of God. As we look on Christ we have all the is God clearly manifested to us in His person. In Christ we have all God with nothing at all missing (Colossians 1:19). Christ is not merely a part of God, rather He is all of God in physical form.
Luke 7:1-10 - Here Christ Jesus ministers mightily to a Gentile who readily admits "I am unworthy that thou should end under my roof." He did so when the Jews "beseeched him." "They did so because this Gentile loved the Jewish Nation and built them a Synagogue."
God blessed him enormously because he blessed Israel.
When God formed the nation of Israel from the Sea of Humanity He promised to "bless them that bless thee and curse him that curseth thee" (Genesis 12:1-3). God has changed this truth in an way and it is still operative in the day and age in which we live.
II Timothy 2:15 - If we wish to be an approved workman who is not ashamed we must study and rightly divide God’s Word. God’s Word cannot be fully understood without rightly dividing it.
If we wish to fully comprehend God’s Gospel to us we must rightly divide.
During Christ’s Ministry to Israel He preached the Gospel (Good News) of the Kingdom (Matthew 4:23-25). The 12 preached the same Gospel as did Christ in strict accord with His instructions (Luke 8:1)
