Getting the Religious Saved - Part 2

Date
09-04-2016
Pastor James Zaebst

Romans 10:3 and 4:  Many people think they can merit Eternal Life by being religious and pious.  But all of our very best works are but refuse to Almighty God  (Isaiah 64:6 and Romans 3:10-12).  We must get the religious to see that their religion has no value at all to God and actually hinders our Salvation (Philippians 3:4-9).

Romans 10:5:  God gave Israel a Law through Moses.  This Law was never intended to save anyone.  The Law made all guilty (Romans 3:19 and 20).  The Law pointed out our desperate need of a Savior (Galatians 3:23-25).

Romans 10:1-2 - Many people believe in God (in His existence).  Even Satan believes in God (as do his followers - James 2:19).  Many people who believe in God are still lost (Galatians 3:26 and John 8:1-2 and John 8:24).

Romans 10:3-4 - Many people think they can merit Eternal Life by being religious and pious.  But all of our very best works are but refuse to Almighty God (Isaiah 64:6 and Romans 3:10-12).  We must get the religious to see that their religion has no value at all to God and actually hinders our Salvation (Philippians 3:4-9).

Being a Berean

Acts 17:1-4 - Some of the Thessalonians believed and some did not.  Anytime you share the Word the reaction will be mixed.  Some will believe and some will not. You cannot make anyone believe.  Share the Word and move on if the hearers are completely uninterested (Matthew 7:6 and Titus 3:10-11).

Sin and Its Consequences

I Chronicles 21:1-2 - King David viewed the people of Israel as his own.  He took great pride in what he saw as his possession.  He was trusting in a large number of people and not in God.  The people were God's (Exodus 4:22).  All that any of us have is rightly God's (I Corinthians 4:7).  Each and every one of us are merely stewards of God's blessing (I Corinthians 4:2).

The Healing of Naaman

Date
07-17-2016
Pastor James Zaebst

II Kings 5:1-4 - God had a wonderful plan for Naaman, but Naaman did not know it. (I Corinthians 2:14).  Though Naaman was a "great man" and  "an honorable mighty man of valor" he did not know what a source of blessing God was an is (Ezra 8:22).  God had wonderful plans for all who seek him for it.  Most of the world has no idea that God has a wonderful plan for them.

II Kings 5:5-7 - The King (Government) had no solutions for a Spiritual problem (the problem of Naaman needing Spiritual insight).  The Government cannot meet a Spiritual need.

Pastor James Zaebst

The Next Resurrection - is part of God's Prophetic Program (Acts 3:21).  Since it is the first Resurrection of Prophecy it is called "the First Resurrection" (Revelation 20:6).  This Resurrection will include both Old Testament Saints and Tribulation Martyrs (Revelation 20:4-5).  The Old Testament Saints Spirits are now in Heaven but before the cross they were in Abraham's Bosom (Luke 16:19-31, Ephesians 4:8-10 and Luke 23:42-43).  They will live on this Earth for 1000 years with Christ (Revelation 20:4 and 7).  They will be supernaturally empowered to obey Christ (Ezekiel 11:18-20).
