The Rapture of the Church

Date

Romans 11:25:  The Rapture is imminent; it could happen immediately.

Titus 2:12 and 13:  We should be living our lives in the full anticipation that Christ could come for us at any time.

I Corinthians 15:51-53:  The Rapture of the Church is a wholly Pauline revelation, only found in Paul’s writings alone.  It is in sharp contrast with the Second Coming of Christ, which has been foretold by all the prophets since the world began (Acts 3:19-21).  They are two distinct events, separated by at least seven years.

Seizing God’s Promises for tIn Joshua Chapters 1-5 the Nation of Israel enters into the promised land.  Israel finally accepts God’s intended blessing for them by faith and in doing so they begin a new and glorious chapter in their lives.

If we wish to seize God’s blessings for us and make a fresh start in faith in the New Year, we must follow Israel by doing five necessary things (Romans 15:4).

(1)  We must put all doubts aside  (Numbers 13:26-33).

(2) We must be willing to step out in faith(Joshua   1:1,3,6,10 and 11).

Who Is Christ?

Colossians 1:13 and 14:  We have redemption through His blood.  Each and every person is a sinner (Romans 3:10-12 and I John 1:8).  Without the shedding of blood is no remission (Hebrews 9:22 and Leviticus 17:11).  Salvation only comes through the blood of Christ (John 14:6).  Christ is first and foremost our Redeemer (our Savior).

Colossians 1:15:  He is the image of the invisible God.  We can only know God through Christ (John 14:7-11).  Apart from Christ, God is an unknowable Spirit with which we cannot relate (Exodus 19:16).

Faith, Faithfulness, and Salvation

In Luke 18:18-22, a man asks Jesus: “What shall I do to inherit eternal life?” He
is told to keep the commandments and sell all he has and give it to the poor.
Clearly, his actions had a part in his salvation.

In Acts 16:25-32, Paul and Silas are asked by a man: “What must I do to be
saved?” Here, he is told: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be
saved.”

We are all saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8 and 9).

Our Last Days - Part 2

Philippians 1:20-23: The blessings of Heaven are so much better than anything this world has to offer.

God has a completely different view of the death of a believer. God sees it from the other side. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints” (Psalm 116:15). Our death gives God the ultimate opportunity to fully express His boundless love for us and therefore it is a precious moment for Him (I-Corinthians 15:35 and 36).
